Abstract Finding common ground between theories that have never or seldom spoken is a necessary first step to bridge-building, particularly concerning their foundational bases. This article proposes develop such footing for dialogue the Marxist version of Latin American Dependency Theory (MDT) and Robert Cox’s neo-Gramscian Critical (NCT).
